Tommy Dreamer Was Going To Chris Benoit Paul Heyman

World Wrestling Entertainment :: Date: August 26th, 2019

"I need to shoot you, Paul. I need it more than anything in the world."

Holy motherfucking shit.

Tommy Dreamer, an ECW legend, admitted today in an interview that he was so depressed following the death of ECW that he considered shooting Paul Heyman in the back of the skull at WrestleMania 17.

Yes. Seriously. reported this earlier today, and what's worse? He said he also was going to jump the barricade and shoot himself in a murder-suicide.

If you recall Wrestlemania 17, it was a pretty jam-packed show. It was really one of the greatest WrestleManias ever. But I think this whole incident would have really spiced up the Gimmick Battle Royal.

Dreamer really would have been the Innovator of Violence in that moment. He said he even wanted to "hit his pose" right before shooting himself. That would have been pretty sick. Definitely a "Top 10 WrestleMania Moments" contender.

I'm really kidding. It's tragic that he thought this way, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend it's okay. ECW and Paul Heyman heavily inspired this very magazine's presentation. I absolutely list Paul Heyman as one of my all-time inspirations for my creative approach. Tommy even admitted that he "doesn't think he would really do it", but he did buy the gun. If it wasn't for Jim Ross leaving a message on his machine telling him to chill the fuck out, we may have had the ultimate combination of the Chris Benoit incident and the Owen Hart incident... and the Jerry Lawler heart attack incident.
